We’ve received an important operations update from Texas Pride Disposal regarding this week’s waste collection. Due to a combination of challenging conditions, there will be delays on routes — but the good news is no collections are expected to be missed.

Here’s the official message from Texas Pride Disposal:

Due to weekend weather, wet trash, and holiday volume — combined with very muddy conditions at the landfills — there are longer than normal wait times for dumping.

We are working diligently to get everything caught up but do expect a later day than normal.

We do not expect any non-collections, just a delay. Please be patient with our teams as they work hard to complete all routes.

Monday’s Trash Collections will be running on a DELAYED schedule due to cold weather, delayed openings at the disposal sites, and possible road closures. NO Recycling will be collected on Monday, January 26. Monday’s Recycle Collection services will be picked up next Monday, February 2.

Updated information will be posted on our website.

The District has been actively monitoring forecasts for the upcoming winter storm. If there is a disruption regarding water supply or wastewater treatment, a notice will be posted to the district’s website.

Message from Texas Pride:

Please be advised that trash and recycling collection services may experience a delayed start on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to freezing weather in the Houston area.

Any delay will be determined by road conditions and considerations for the safety of our personnel, equipment, residents, and access to disposal facilities.

Updated information will be posted on our website.

As a reminder, Texas Pride will not be collecting trash on Christmas Day – Thursday, December 25, and New Year’s Day – Thursday, January 1, for MONTGOMERY COUNTY MUD 159.

Collection services will resume on Monday.

This adjustment applies to trash collection only. Recycling will be heavily affected due to the double holiday, as there will be no recycling collection on these days.

A friendly reminder that in observance of Thanksgiving, Texas Pride will not be collecting trash this Thursday, November 27.

🗓️ Service Update:

• Thursday, Nov. 27: NO TRASH COLLECTION

• Friday, Nov. 28: No make-up collection.

• Monday, Dec. 1: Trash collection resumes on your normal schedule.
